A huge thank you to the amazing Edinburgh charity PeopleKnowHow for hosting both a Technology challenge and Procurement challenge for secondary students during their work experience week.
The students created some fantastic films and animations, which tackled issues such as climate change and healthy eating. They also explored sourcing value for money in our everyday lives, and modern slavery within supply chains.
During the event students worked as teams, building on their core skills such as problem solving, planning and communication. The students presented their findings to a panel from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Our panel members were simply wowed, sharing how impressed they were by the exceptionally high quality of work undertaken by the students.
We closed the week with sessions from Glasgow Caledonian University, Drummond Bridge Recruitment and Change Recruitment; looking at opportunities for further/higher education and recruitment in Technology and Procurement.
Overall the session was a great success, with students confirming they would recommend the event to others as a greatly useful experience for everyday life and work.
