Personal development is a key component in helping us to set and achieve the life and career goals we may set for ourselves.
I’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing people who have supported me in my career, sharing their knowledge, experience and networks.
That why I'm always happy to help others and share my own learning experiences, including an enthusiastic audience of future leaders at a Michael Page event hosted by @LindsayMcLeod.
During the session we explored key leadership competencies, and how there is no single magic formula that we can each simply replicate to be a great leader. However, we can look to the very best qualities we see exemplified in others and what we as individuals can add to that.
Being genuine and authentic are the foundational behaviours to good leadership, and statistics show that whether a leader is male or female, we are equally capable. As leaders, its vital we encourage diversity and inclusion. In embracing each other’s authenticity, we can hopefully all succeed together.
The individuals who helped each of you and how they exemplified good leadership in your career, will be personal to each of you. But hopefully you can take the time to share some of those positive experiences and help others in their personal development.
